“Clients, students, and staff at CAHRD are always participating in exciting events and programs. This year has already brought several significant events for CAHRD to celebrate, including a visit from former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada Jean Charest, a funding announcement of $935,000 for the purchase of new equipment for Neeginan College of Applied Technology, and CAHRD’s Director of Education and Training, Heather McCormick, being named by CBC as one of Manitoba’s Future 40 leaders!

Students attending CAHRD’s literacy, education, and training programs are also free to partake in field trips, programs, and events organized by the staff, Aboriginal Community Campus Student Council, and community partners. To date, students have participated in Spirit Week, Louis Riel Week, Inquiring Minds: Understanding an Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (hosted by University of Winnipeg), Partners for Life Blood Drive, and much more.”
