She has delivered countless engaging public speaking sessions on cultural awareness, locally and nationally, at multiple points on Turtle Island. Tarbell has also held various supporting roles with the Akwesasne Chamber of Commerce. Her primary focus throughout her career has been to empower others and see them smile. In the fall, Tarbell was one of ten Indigenous entrepreneurial leaders from across Turtle Island to be recognized for outstanding achievements and impact at the 4th Annual Indigenous Entrepreneur Awards, which Pow Wow Pitch hosted.
Tarbell was awarded the RBC Entrepreneurial Icon Award for her perseverance, growth, influence, and example. While speaking with Tarbell recently, it was evident why she received an award for being an outstanding Indigenous entrepreneurial leader.
You could hear the passion and energy in her voice as she described her team, her business and the work they do with community members.
