While Connected North delivers programming live in a classroom setting, Fireside Chats are designed to help students explore various career paths and gain insights into the personal and professional journeys of Indigenous role models. Becoming a Connected North Role Model: Why Join?
Connected North offers a unique opportunity for young professionals to become role models and share their expertise with students in remote communities. As a Content Provider, you can transform your passion into impactful learning experiences, regardless of your prior teaching experience.

Connected North welcomes experts from diverse fields—tour guides, authors, artists, scientists, and more—to lead engaging virtual sessions. Whether you can contribute once or regularly, your flexible commitment is valued. Each session ranges from 30 to 60 minutes, supported by Connected North’s team for technical and engagement assistance.

How It Works
Content Providers create session listings outlining their workshops, which teachers throughout the school year then access. Upon request, you’ll coordinate with Connected North to schedule a session with full technical support and customization options based on the students’ needs.

No previous experience is required. New providers receive training and ongoing support on best practices. Connected North ensures a seamless experience with automatic invoicing, direct deposit payments, and continued support.
