SAY Magazine is dedicated to uplifting Indigenous voices, celebrating achievements, and inspiring readers with positive, forward-looking stories. We are a feel-good publication that highlights success, self-improvement, cultural pride, and community leadership.
Our editorial focus is on empowerment, achievements, and solutions, not controversy or division.

All submissions must be written in plain, accessible English.

The tone should be positive, inspiring, and respectful.

Technical jargon should be avoided unless essential, and then explained clearly.

All submissions must be factually accurate.

Contributors are expected to respect Indigenous traditions, cultures, and perspectives.

Sources and permissions must be cited for all quotes, statistics, or cultural references.

SAY Magazine reserves the right to accept, reject, or edit submissions.

Editors may request revisions to ensure alignment with our mission and tone.

Final approval rests with the Editor and Publishers.

Commercial Content & Paid Editorial
SAY Magazine distinguishes between editorial features and paid editorial content (advertorials).

Editorial Submissions

Must be primarily informative, inspiring, or celebratory—not promotional in nature.

Businesses may be mentioned if they are integral to a story, but excessive promotional language is not permitted.

Paid Editorial (Advertorials)

If a story’s intent is primarily commercial (promoting a product, service, or company), it will fall under paid editorial.

Additional requirements for paid editorial include:

The business must not have unresolved major complaints or negative press.

A Better Business Bureau A+ rating or similar credential is strongly preferred.

All businesses, services, and products must be pre-approved by SAY Magazine at the discretion of the Editor and Publishers.

Submission Requirements

Length: 500–1,500 words (unless otherwise approved).
-
Format: Word document or Google Doc, double-spaced, with headings where appropriate.
-
Images: High-resolution photos (300 dpi minimum) with captions and photographer credits.
-
Rights: Contributors must hold rights to all text and images submitted.

Deadline: Submissions must be received by the agreed editorial deadline.
Review & Editing Process

Submission is received and reviewed for alignment with SAY Magazine’s mission.

Editorial team assesses content for accuracy, tone, and clarity.
-
If needed, revisions are requested.

Final approval is made by the Editor and Publishers.

Placement in an issue is at the sole discretion of the editorial team.
